Thriving Families, Safer Children Kentucky is a collaboration of statewide partners that work alongside people with lived experience to rethink child welfare by creating conditions for strong, healthy communities where families are supported and children are free from harm.
All families deserve the opportunity to raise their children safely and successfully in their own homes. We know that moving from a reactive child protection system to proactive support for overall child and family wellbeing can prevent child maltreatment and unnecessary family separation. By elevating the voices of parents and youth with lived experience in child welfare, we can develop a more just and equitable system.
