For more than 20 years, advocates for kids have gathered in Frankfort for Children’s Advocacy Day to fill the halls of the Capitol and ask their elected officials to step up for Kentucky kids. The critical mass of advocates in the Capitol building led to many policy wins and raising awareness of issues facing kids and their families.
During Children’s Advocacy Week, we host a series of virtual events with more opportunities to connect with legislators and other advocates. Kentucky kids need advocates more than ever before and we’re counting on YOU to show up for kids in 2025!
Children’s Advocacy Week is March 3-7, 2025 with Children’s Advocacy Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, March 5th!
With Children’s Advocacy Week scheduled for later into the Kentucky legislative session, the events will center on activation and mobilization of advocates to ensure Blueprint for Kentucky’s Children policy priorities reach the finish line before the final gavel falls in April. Leading up to the week, Kentucky Youth Advocates will share ways in which advocates can be equipped to speak up for Kentucky kids throughout the session.
