Advocates, get ready! Children’s Advocacy Week is only six weeks away.
While we are still sorting out final details based on legislators’ availability and whether or not we will allowed into the Capitol to film portions of the virtual events, here is what we do know:
- All Children’s Advocacy Week events will be virtual
- Each day will include a featured event (such as the Rally for Kentucky Kids), a Blueprint for Kentucky’s Children information session with legislators and partners from regions across the commonwealth, and a policy forum with legislative leaders and/or members of the Beshear Administration
- You can attend as many or as few events as you want, and there will be an app and a schedule on our website to help you keep track of the week’s events.
- Kentucky Youth Advocates is committed to sharing information about meetings with legislators, including whether or not visitors will be allowed into the Capitol and if legislators are conducting virtual meetings, as soon as we have it.
Stay tuned for additional information in early January!
Be sure to register for Children’s Advocacy Week to receive updates as we publish more information about events throughout the week.
Children’s Advocacy Week would not be possible without the support of sponsors, including the Signature Sponsor, Aetna Better Health of Kentucky. Thank you, sponsors, for your commitment to Kentucky kids and their families! Are you interested in becoming a Children’s Advocacy Week sponsor? Please contact Jessie Whitish.
