Mark Your Calendar! 2019 Children’s Advocacy Day at the Capitol on February 13th

Hundreds of youth and adults attended Children’s Advocacy Day at the Capitol in 2018, and we need you to help pack the rotunda and ask elected officials to prioritize kids in 2019.

Join us on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 for the 15th annual Children’s Advocacy Day at the Capitol! Register here.

Children’s Advocacy Day at the Capitol began in 2004 as an effort to unite advocates from across the state to raise their voices on behalf of children’s safety, health, education, and economic well-being. Hundreds of advocates from counties across Kentucky now gather at the Capitol in Frankfort every year to rally on behalf of children and to promote priorities on the Blueprint for Kentucky’s Children agenda.

The Blueprint for Kentucky’s Children is a coalition of committed agencies that are working together to make Kentucky a place with thriving communities, strong families, and successful kids. Stay tuned for the release of the 2019 Blueprint for Kentucky’s Children agenda.

If you are interested in supporting Kentucky’s largest effort to bring child advocates together at the state Capitol, learn more about all sponsorship opportunities here. Blueprint partners can become a Partner Sponsor here. For more information about sponsorships, contact Jessie Whitish at jwhitish@kyyouth.org or 502-895-8167 EXT. 121.

If you plan to bring a group of youth to Children’s Advocacy Day, please fill out this brief survey about youth activities that we can help you coordinate throughout the day.

The impact of Children’s Advocacy Day on legislators is the sheer number of advocates who attend and raise their voice for kids. All Kentucky kids are counting on advocates like you, and we look forward to seeing all of you on Wednesday, February 13th as we ask our legislators to prioritize kids in the 2019 legislative session!
