Throughout the month of November 2020 there will be a round of nine virtual forums related to the federal Family First Prevention Services Act with the Administrative Office of the Courts, the Department for Community Based Services, and Kentucky Youth Advocates, in partnership with Casey Family Programs.
In the summer of 2019, the same groups hosted nine in-person regional forums to introduce Kentuckians to the Family First Prevention Services Act and get a better understanding HOW implementation may affect them and their communities. Now, over 12 months later, we’re coming back together to update on where the implementation is in progress and how to become involved.
Each regional convening will include regionally specific data, discussions about services within the region, and an opportunity to hear from those in the region involved firsthand in the work, including Family Court and District Judges, the DCBS Service Region Administrators, and other key agency staff.
