There are six other states that have been approved. Ky is still under a state of emergency, so why won’t they move faster. Thank you for any information you have.

They need to be adding monthly dates for the fall school year. This pandemic isn’t going anymore anytime soon by the looks of it and even kids who are going in person are having to constantly quarantine at home f possibly exposed. This program seems to be all over the place. You can check for months and there will nothing then out of the blue a lump sum. Hopefully they will continue, but set up a better system that makes more sense. So many depend on this, yet have no idea if and when they will get it.

Are there any update for pent for virtual only students. They extended pent for people receiving snap, so why does it take so long for our children
The state is currently working to get a P-EBT plan for this school year approved, and we will provide an update as soon as that plan has been approved.
Curious if the kypebt benefits are going to be available longer or what is going on with it?
P-EBT benefits will be available for this school year; however, they will look very different from last year. The state is working on getting a P-EBT plan for this year approved and we will provide an update as soon as that plan is approved.
As of October 1, 2021 they said that they were extending the pebt back to the full amount possible for snap benefits. So, why aren’t school children getting them. They seem to need them more. They also said that schools could apply for them. Why do they wait so long, and then have to go and back date them? Why can’t they just have a system put in place and go forward not backward? Look at how long the kids had to wait last year. How is that going to work anyway? Just about every school is in person, with 1/3 of the students being virtual by choice. So does that mean only virtual students get them?
We do not currently know what P-EBT will look like for this school year. The state is working to get a P-EBT plan for this school year approved, and we will provide an update as soon as that plan has been approved.
I have custody of my 12 yr old granddaughter as of May 2021 and was not aware of the pebt food benefits. She was enrolled in this program before she came to me and her card was stolen by her parents. I have applied for a new card for her as of Oct 19. Is there anything I can do to regain her pebt benefits that were stolen?
To discuss a specific P-EBT case, you can call DCBS at (800)372-2973.
I had a child who was enrolled in school during the pandemic and graduated may 2021. I also had another child July 2019. I recieved the pebt benefits for the child enrolled in school, but have never received anything for my other child who is now 2. Was I supposed to receive food benefits for her as well this whole time?
Some kids not enrolled in school were eligible for P-EBT benefits. Families who participate in SNAP and have a child younger than five should have received P-EBT benefits on their existing EBT card. If you have further questions, you can call DCBS at (800)372-2973.
Will the kids be getting any this year in 2022
We do not currently know what P-EBT will look like for this school year/2022. The state is working to get a P-EBT plan for this school year approved, and Kentucky Youth Advocates will provide an update as soon as that plan has been approved.
