This week on our Advocate Virtual Forum, we discuss Medicaid open enrollment, including what’s new for this year, such as the Supporting Kentucky Youth (SKY) program that will provide health services for all kids living in foster care. Panelists include Allison Adams, Vice President for Public Policy at the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky; Veronica Cecil, Deputy Commissioner at Kentucky Department for Medicaid Services; Kelly Pullen, Executive Director of Kentucky SKY; and Ashley Shoemaker, Director of Outreach and Enrollment at Family Health Centers.

As a foster adoptive parent the change to SKY amd Aetna has been VERY unclear, frustrating and poorly communicated! Stating that it is passive enrollememt but failing to call out you have moved my child to be on in Aetna to be on SKY has been so confusing.
If SKY is great you have failed to show how great this program.
Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We suggest sharing with Aetna, and we can certainly reach out to the Aetna team, too.
