June is National Oral Health Month, an optimal time to recognize the importance of oral health as a key part of overall health and well-being. Kentucky Youth advocates is joining the Kentucky Oral Health Coalition (KOHC) in celebrating throughout the month of June and highlighting opportunities to get involved.

KOHC is a project of Kentucky Youth Advocates and is a statewide group of concerned citizens, oral health providers, parents, and many others working to improve oral health for all Kentuckians. With two main goals of improving access to oral health care and increasing oral health literacy across the Commonwealth, KOHC is dedicated to achieving optimal oral health for all.

This year, KOHC is conducting a statewide landscape assessment to illustrate the current state of oral health in Kentucky, highlight gaps and barriers that exist for consumers and providers, and lift up key recommendations to improve oral health outcomes. Everyone can take part in this statewide assessment by completing this survey to help KOHC better understand Kentuckians’ oral health habits, beliefs, barriers to care, and recommendations for improvement.

Although oral health can often be overlooked, it plays an important role in maintaining good overall health for kids and their families. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and share with your networks!
