Children’s Advocacy Week is (almost) here! As we shared in our recent update, due to an increasing number of COVID cases, all events happening January 18-21 will now be virtual.
Review this checklist to help you make the most of Children’s Advocacy Week:
- Sign up to receive email updates throughout the virtual advocacy week
- View and download the Children’s Advocacy Week app
- Review the schedule of virtual events and add to your personal schedule via the app
- Watch a recording of the Children’s Advocacy Week Virtual Prep Session
- Look up your state legislators and take note of their contact information, what committees they’re a part of, and if they are in a leadership position
- Review fact sheets on each of the Blueprint for Kentucky’s Children policy and budget priorities
- Check out our Kentucky General Assembly Bill Tracker to stay up-to-date on Blueprint priority bills and other bills that are good for kids
- Share information about Blueprint priorities with your state legislators via email or phone call or by setting up a virtual meeting during Children’s Advocacy Week
- Sign up for KYA’s email listserv to stay informed on bill movement and current action alerts
- Follow Kentucky Youth Advocates on Facebook (facebook.com/KentuckyYouthAdvocates), Twitter (@kyyouth), and Instagram (www.instagram.com/kentuckyyouthadvocates/)
