Senate Bill 31

Keep Children in Out-of-Home Care Connected to Siblings

Senate Bill 31 would ensure children in out-of-home care, like foster care, have frequent and ongoing interaction with their siblings in other out-of-home care placements, which better aligns state law with the federal Family First Prevention Services Act.

SB 31 is sponsored by Senator Ralph Alvarado. It passed the Kentucky Senate and is awaiting a hearing in the House Health and Family Services Committee.

Please pas this law. I have a 11 year old boy to adopt soon and his siblings fostermom doesn’t want them to visit each other after adoption. These three kids love each other and their court ordered visits will stop after adoption. So please let this bill go thru! BEST INTEREST OF THE CHILD.
