Winter decided it wanted to intervene with progress in Frankfort this week and brought a blanket of snow and cold temperatures. We hope everyone out there stayed safe and warm in this extreme weather.

Due to the weather, the Kentucky House and Senate both cancelled session Tuesday and Wednesday. (They were already scheduled to be out Monday due to President’s Day.) The House ended up taking off the rest of the week and will reconvene Monday, February 23. The Senate went back to work on Thursday and Friday but did not take up any Blueprint for Kentucky’s Children’s bills.

We will be back at it next week. In the meantime, if you’re sitting at home trying to stay warm, take a minute and look at our Ways to Act page. There are several actions you can take right now to help children this legislative session. Here’s to hoping spring is around the corner!
