The first Step Up for Kids event in Owensboro promises to be thought-provoking and action-oriented. With the help of the Hager Educational Foundation and the Public Life Foundation, several community leaders, including District Court Judge Lisa Jones and Head Start Director, Peggy Grant, are scheduled to speak on key issues facing Kentuckians in Owensboro. The day will end with a legislative panel that will include Respresentatives Tommy Thompson and Jim Glenn and Senator Joe Bowen answering questions about how they plan to make kids and families a priority in the 2014 General Assembly. Breakfast and lunch will be provided!

Manchester, KY: Thursday, November 7, 2013
The Step Up for Kids event in Manchester will provide a snapshot of key issues in Manchester and focus on how to be an advocate for Kentucky’s children. Along with top community experts speaking on specific issue areas, this event will feature a one-on-one interview with Senate President Robert Stivers. Breakfast will be provided!
