RallyJoin the Face It ® Movement, Family & Children’s Place, Kentucky Youth Advocates, and many other local child-serving organizations at Louisville’s Big Four Bridge on March 30th to kick off Child Abuse Prevention Month.

In 2014, nearly 23,000 children were confirmed as victims of physical or sexual abuse or neglect in Kentucky. In Jefferson County, that number totaled more than 3,000 children. One child is one too many, and abuse can have a lifelong impact in emotional and physical health, relationships, and every other facet of a child’s life through adulthood. We need to work together to face it and end it – now.

The Rally to End Child Abuse begins at 11 am and several state and local leaders are expected to participate, including Governor and First Lady Bevin, Chief Conrad of the Louisville Metro Police Department, and Jerry Ward of the Kosair Charities Board.
