Preventing and ending child abuse is everyone’s responsibility. And, raising awareness about child abuse and ways to prevent it is crucial to that end goal. Kentucky Youth Advocates is proud to partner with the Kosair Charities Face It® Movement on the release of a new child abuse prevention tool that helps us all be the face that ends child abuse.

The new tool highlights strategies for preventing child physical and sexual abuse, recognizing the signs of abuse, and how to report it. Featuring tips for talking to kids, warning signs, and ways to help, the poster is a valuable and engaging resource for parents, teachers, child care centers, churches, and professionals who work with children.

Posters and infographics are available in print or online. Both materials contain child abuse prevention, recognition, and reporting information. The infographic (below) also includes data on the status of child abuse in Jefferson County. The poster can be hung in child care centers, pediatricians’ offices, Family Resource and Youth Services Centers, and other child serving organizations. Infographics can be distributed directly to parents and caregivers. An infographic with statewide information will be coming soon.

You can submit bulk orders of the new posters and infographics from the Face It® Movement, which are provided free of charge with support from Kosair Charities. Place your order here.
