Kentuckians of all ages need improved oral health to live healthy and optimal lives. Tackling the problem of poor oral health in Kentucky will take people from multiple disciplines working together and we need you to help. The Kentucky Oral Health Coalition is working collaboratively to improve oral health across the Commonwealth. All members and others who are interested are invited to attend the upcoming meeting.

When: July 25, 2012 at 10am-12pm Eastern

Lunch will be provided at 12pm to allow people to stay and network with each other. Lunch will be free for coalition members and will be $5 for non-members.

Who should attend: Members of the Kentucky Oral Health Coalition and others interested in oral health in Kentucky should plan to attend. This includes dental professionals, public health professionals, local coalition members, advocates, policymakers, educators, etc.

Agenda:

  • Adoption of Coalition Bylaws
  • Election of Coalition Officers – If you are a coalition member, please consider nominating yourself or another member to be an officer of the Kentucky Oral Health Coalition. You can read about the various positions in the bylaws linked above.
  • Determination of Initial Coalition Priorities – Based on the March 7 meeting discussion and follow-up survey, we will use an electronic voting system for members to determine initial priorities for the coalition.
  • Discussion of Celebrity Champion – Every strong coalition needs a strong spokesperson. We will discuss the possibility for identifying a celebrity champion to support oral health in Kentucky.
