Blueprint logoKentucky Youth Advocates and the Blueprint Steering Committee invite you to give your input on the potential priorities for the 2015 Blueprint for Kentucky’s Children agenda. Click here to take the survey.

The Blueprint for Kentucky’s Children is a policy initiative created by children’s advocates across the Commonwealth to address the most pressing challenges facing Kentucky children. The Blueprint seeks safe and healthy families, a fair deal for working parents and a fair opportunity for every child in Kentucky.

Responding to a challenge from legislators eight years ago, children’s advocacy groups formed the Blueprint for Kentucky’s Children to help move Kentucky forward through a unified policy agenda for kids. Through our work on these issues, we want to make Kentucky the best place to be a kid. For more information about the Blueprint for Kentucky’s Children, click here.

The Blueprint efforts have been marked by great success, particularly given the fiscal constraints the Commonwealth faces. For example, Blueprint partners were instrumental in establishing a panel to review child abuse deaths, which will improve practices in the child welfare system to prevent future child abuse deaths. During the 2014 session, Blueprint partners played key roles in passing fundamental juvenile justice reform and securing restoration of child care assistance subsidies after deep cuts were made to the Child Care Assistance Program in 2013.

The survey will be open through July 15th and will take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. Thanks in advance for helping craft the 2015 agenda to make Kentucky a great place to be young! Click here to take the survey.
