Dear Friend,

Children rely on decisions adults make to grow up healthy and strong. They rely on their parents/guardians to provide clothes for their back, a safe home and reliable meals. Also, they rely on policymakers to make sure they are protected from abuse and neglect, to make sure their parents can get health insurance to take them to the doctor, and to make sure their misbehaviors like running away are handled with effective discipline instead of jail time. Together, we can continue working to make our state’s leaders put children’s needs first.

We know you have spoken up for kids this year and that you understand the importance of having a voice for children in Frankfort and Washington, D.C. Kentucky Youth Advocates is the state’s multi-issue child advocacy organization, and we can’t be the independent voice for Kentucky’s children without your financial support.

With your help, Kentucky Youth Advocates can begin the New Year ready to lobby for our collective legislative agenda – the Blueprint for Kentucky’s Children. Your gift today of $25, $50, $75, $100; your monthly gift of $10, $25, $50; or whatever you can share, will allow Kentucky’s children to have a voice at the Capitol. Any gifts made by December 31st will be tax-deductable for 2011 and will make Kentucky Youth Advocates’ vision a reality – “Kentucky, the best place in America to be young!”

Sincerely,

Terry I. Brooks, Ed.D Executive Director
