There is growing awareness about the impact that children’s health and wellness has on school performance. Many districts in Kentucky have recognized this in recent years and intervened by providing school health services to meet students’ health needs at school. Kentucky Youth Advocates encourages schools to place as much emphasis on health as they do athletics and clubs as children spend a large amount of time at school.
