Following the Step Up for Kids Conference on Monday, October 8, attendees and others from the public are invited to a free evening with the arts from 5:00-7:00 PM, to enjoy performances from talented Kentucky youth in the Sunfish Tumblers Bluegrass Band and the Safiyyah Dance Company.

Also, the Colors of Life national photography exhibit, which is built on the premise that art can open people’s hearts and minds to the crisis facing America’s children, will be on display. In response to a surge in child poverty, homelessness, and other important child well-being indicators, Every Child Matters and the Colors of Life Foundation provided these images to spotlight the needs of children in 2012, and to remind us to challenge candidates for office to describe their plans for addressing those needs.

Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available to those in attendance.
